Nestled in the scenic Blue Ridge Mountains
of Virginia, Radford University is a premier teaching and learning university
focused on providing outstanding academic programs. Well known for its

The University welcomes more than 9,400 students from across the country and around the world each year.
Its seven colleges offer 67 degree programs and two certificates at the undergraduate level, 19 degree programs with 24 concentrations at the graduate level, and five post-baccalaureate certificates. Student life thrives on RU’s campus with more than 200 clubs and organizations, NCAA Division I athletics, special events, performances and lectures each year. |

Radford University was awarded more than $5.5 million in funding through grants and contracts during fiscal year 2011. Included in this total were awards for research, instructional-based projects, and public service programs for community outreach. More than $4 million was received from federal agencies such as the Appalachian Regional Commission, the Environmental Protection Agency, the Heath Research Service Administration, National Institutes of Health, National Science Foundation, U.S. Department of Education, U.S. Department of Justice, U.S. Department of the Interior, and the Small Business Administration.
