First, they will be in good company as Virginia is home to 70 corporate headquarters of firms with annual sales of more than $500 million. Of those, 21 companies have annual sales of at least $5 billion. Virginia is also home to the corporate headquarters of 33 Fortune 1000 companies and many of the largest private companies in the U.S. 

Virginia has the highest percentage of high-technology workers in the country and ranks fourth in total high-technology employment as reported in Cyberstates 2011.  This large, well-educated labor pool provides companies headquartered in Virginia excellent opportunities to fill a wide array of critical jobs.
